Okur leads Jazz to another home win over ClippersBasketball Betting Lines03/06/2010 - Salt Lake City, UT (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Mehmet Okur poured in a game-high 27 points to help the Utah Jazz post yet another home win over the Los Angeles Clippers, 107-85. Carlos Boozer added 17 points and 17 rebounds for the Jazz, who have won 40 of the last 41 games against the Clips in Salt Lake City. Deron Williams posted 10 points and 10 assists, while Kyle Korver contributed 12 points in the win. Wesley Matthews and CJ Miles each had 11 points for Utah, which has won eight of 11 overall. Drew Gooden led Los Angeles with 20 points and 12 rebounds, but the Clippers fell for the third straight game and the sixth straight time on the road. Chris Kaman recorded 12 points and 13 rebounds, while Rasual Butler and Baron Davis each had 11 in the lopsided setback. LA looked strong early, jumping out to an early 15-5 advantage after an 8-0 burst, aided by six Butler points. Utah was able to cut into its deficit before the quarter ended and trailed, 32-26, heading to the second. The Jazz steadily climbed back until a Korver jumper capped a 6-0 spurt that put Utah ahead, 46-45, with 2:45 until halftime. That was the margin, 51-50, at the break. The hosts opened the second half with seven straight points, as a Boozer hook shot extended the Jazz advantage to eight. The Clippers were unable to put together a prolonged string of points, and three straight baskets by Utah late helped the team take an 83-72 advantage to the fourth. Okur capped a 7-0 Jazz surge with a bucket midway through the fourth for a 94-78 cushion, and the Clippers did not threaten down the stretch. Game Notes The Clippers lone win in Utah during their dismal 41-game stretch was on January 22, 2003...Los Angeles began a five-game road trip on Saturday that will also see the team travel to Orlando, Miami, Charlotte and San Antonio...Utah won the season series, 3-1.
