The lengthy rant was seen by Jackson as Gilbert having "a slave master mentality," and said it endangered James and defamed his character. "I strongly disagree with Rev. Jesse Jackson's recent comments and we are not going to engage in any related discussion on it." Gilbert said Monday. "Going forward, we're very excited about the Cavaliers and the positive future of our region." Gilbert's actions, however, resulted in a $100,000 fine by the NBA, as per commissioner David Stern on Monday.
